Everyone knows, all the telecom service providers, be its Airtel, Reliance, Vodafone, Aircel or Idea, everyone is a scam artist. They basically play a very big game, since they know, the customers can only shout, but cannot do anything against them, as they are too big to be fought against be its on the terms of law or money.
The art is easy. For example, Airtel has 250 million customers , which is 250000000 in figures. Now, if they throw some fucked up fake offer or flash SMS offer of “GET FREE HELLO TUNE FOR RS.5 TODAY, SMS XXXX TO XXXX TO ACTIVATE” to even 10 million random customers, and if even 5 million customers process the offer, airtel earned 50 million INR in just 5 minutes.
Now, if the offer is fake and doesnt work, no customer is going to call the customer care or visit an airtel store to ask for the 5 rupees refund. I wont, would you ?
Bloody 50 million in earnings just by fooling the poor customers.
I would rather lose a customer, than fooling him for even 1 rupee.
Last week or so, I had recharged 299 INR to my airtel 4G for 3GB of data, and god knows, where the data went off. Its showing 358MB left, while I was not in india for last 7 days. There is no way to see my usage and session usage data. Either the customer care doesnt understand the meaning of session data or being ignorant. And their IT team is never ever going to respond to any of your emails. Forget about it!
Here is what happened with me today again. My above package got over and I was on a call with a friend, when I hung up, my screen showed me up this flash offer. It clearly says, “159= Unlimited 3G/4G”. Its with a star mark, but the star is not explained in that flash SMS, so I dont accept your bullshit dear Airtel.
Here is the screenshot. (clear original screenshot)
I went ahead and did the recharge from my PayTM account. Screenshot attached.
Then the SMS I got after recharge is really shocking. It says, 2.5GB credited, while the offer clearly says, UNLIMITED. So, its a scam, right ?
They could have simply written “159 for 2.5GB for 28 days.” But they didn’t.
Anyways, everyone is the same! I will need a day to write about all of my experiences with Reliance, airtel, aircel, etc.
If someday, I come with up JetTel, then for sure, I can try to close all those scam art with time. Pray for JetTel. Amen!
